I use a Wiki everyday.  I have a personal one for notetaking that I carry around on my usb and a second installed onto a website my students can access for classroom projects.  I find them both indespensible.  Wikis save me and my students a lot of time and energy by making our work so much more efficient.

However, I know for a fact that not every teacher even knows what a Wiki is.  If you are one of those teachers, please watch this video to see what the benefits of a wiki are and how one works.

If you are interested in using a wiki there are many choices available to you and most are free.  A good website to visit when making your decision is www.wikimatrix.org The website even has an easy questionaire you can fill out to help you make a choice.

Three wikis I have used, or am using, are MediaWiki, Dokuwiki and Tiddlywiki. I recommend all three.
